Summary:
This excellent Ceylon tea is from the Lover’s Leap plantation in the sustainable Pedro Estate, Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka.
A medium-strength black tea with clean amber liquor. It is typically drunk without milk and perfect in the morning or afternoon. Some people like to add a little sugar and / or lemon to this style of tea, though we think it’s perfect as it is.
Very refreshing in hot weather it also works particularly well as an iced tea, making it perfect for the Summer.
The plantation is named after the nearby waterfall where, legend has it, two young Lovers embraced for one Last time, held hands and jumped. To this day, every drop of water that cascades down the sloping rocks to the pool below is said to be a eulogy to their undying love.
This plantation is renowned for its sustainable tea production and excellent working conditions for its employees, including worker housing, schooling and healthcare provision.
